Come up with a list of 10 different hand tools you would want if you had your own wood shop. Hint, I've already given you a few clues.
Woodworking Hand Tools
Having some basic understanding of the different hand tools available for carpenters is important. Most of us are probably familiar with things such as hammers and the basic types of screw drivers (Slotted, Phillips, Robertson), but did you know there are different sizes for each of these? Also, there are other tools you may not have heard of before which can be very useful to a carpenter. Watch the video below to see some other tools you may or may not have heard of before.
Construction Courses
Welcome to the Construction and Carpentry section for ECHS with Mr. Spahich. This area is for all levels of Construction courses, including 10, 20, and 30. Due to the nature of Practical and Applied Arts courses in high school, there will be less resources available here as with the academic classes. I will use this section to give you some ideas of what you can do at home such as some possible projects and links to video resources. I will also provide some work relating to wood theory, building materials, hand and measuring tools, portable and stationary power tools, floor, wall, and roof framing, as well as general safety/apprenticeship options.

Welcome to Psych 30 (Developmental Psychology) at ECHS with Mr. Spahich. This blog will be updated as I add more information.
The main aspects of the course are broken down the following way:

Early & Middle Childhood Development

Adulthood
Each of these areas looks largely at how human beings develop with regards to their physical (biological), mental (cognitive), emotional, and spiritual elements. These teachings relate to the medicine wheel. If you have an Elder you can speak with to learn more about their understandings of the teachings I strongly encourage you to do so, for you and for them.
There are assignments and unit tests to help me gauge your comprehension of course concepts. These assignments serve as a way of helping you learn more about developmental psychology. Your overall grade will be determined through the assignments and tests, and will be assessed as you submit them.

Prerequisite: Science 10 or 11
Welcome to the Environmental Science 20 course! Understanding how our environment operates is important for human beings, and how we interact with that environment is critical to helping us live in a sustainable way. This course will help students learn how to examine local and global environmental issues from a systems perspective while considering the effects of human actions and a growing global population on the climate and environment, as well as the effects of the environment on human health. They will explore the mechanisms and importance of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and the sustainability of past and current practices and technologies humans have developed to live with and within the environment.
Outcomes are statements of what students are expected to know and be able to do by the end of this course. They provide direction for assessment and evaluation, and are based on Foundational Learning Objectives.
